Black Lives Matter protesters demand soldiers to ‘kneel’ who then give in to their demands
The video which has gone viral, shows US troops armed with M16 rifles kneel for BLM protesters in California.
It shows a woman named as Keke Palmer rally protesters around the soldiers in Los Angeles California during a George Floyd protest.
She then tells the soldiers, who are rigged in full combat gear, to ‘march with her’.
When she is told no, someone says ‘Can you at least take a knee?’ before the soldier who appears to be the platoon commander nods at his troop who kneel for the camera.
However, Palmer says ‘That isn’t enough for me’ over and over again demanding they join her and her posse in the march.
The soldiers have been identified as being from the California National Guard – a reserve army unit – who were manning the protests to deter and stop looters and any violence.
Palmer says to them: “So march with us, march beside us. You get your people. Y’all march beside us. March beside us. March beside us. Let the revolution be televised; march beside us and show us that you’re here for us. Make history with us.”
The images of the soldiers kneeling have shocked the world with one Twitter commenter saying: ‘Little does she know those soldiers were there to make sure they could all protest in peace.’
The California National Guard or the government are yet to comment.
